The life of the home fascinates me- not only the unique family culture and internal workings found within the walls, but the sense of place created by that culture and the stories and shapes of the objects which inhabit that space.
This project is a catalogue of lives lived through objects which have once inhabited intimate spaces. These objects invite the viewer into the intersection of public and private, into curiosity about the human animating element once attached to them, and the story of what the future of each piece will be, while also speaking to American consumption.
Each image is something discarded on the streets of Tacoma, offered up for anyone to freely take. All images were made with an iPhone 7.
