Whidbey Island Poem

The assignment, during a workshop with National Geographic photographer Sam Abell, was to capture the essence of place on Whidbey Island, as interpreted through our unique sensibilities. Where does the world meet me in my own visual language and aesthetics? What speaks to me? These are the questions I was asking as I made this work.
